This traditional 200 year old ‘Wayside’ Inn has splendid dining rooms, and a traditional country bar area complete with roaring log fires in the winter months.
In response to customer demand their Sunday Carvery has returned and due to popularity booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Always on offer is a selection of 3 traditional roast meats in addition to a fish and vegetarian option. This combined with an array of starters and desserts make this a Sunday experience not to miss. For informal Sunday dining the Sunday Bar menu also offers a one course traditional roast dinner.
The large garden is perfect for al fresco drinks, with a large lawn area and a small children’s play area, along with a ‘locals bar’ with dart board – providing something for everyone, including well behaved dogs.

This 300 year old country pub has been restored to be the hub of the village of Allostock. The proprietors already operate the Bulls Head in Mobberley and the Cholmondeley Arms near Malpas and anyone familiar with these pubs will know they believe in creating warm, relaxing and friendly pubs with freshly cooked and locally sourced food, fine ales from local microbreweries, unique spirits as well as fourteen or so wines by the glass.

Mobberley
The Church Inn of Mobberley is a traditional yet stylish 18th Century country pub located on the edge of the village opposite the 12th Century St.Wilfrids Church. Fully restored and refurbished in 2013 The Church Inn offers great food in an old Country Tavern environment. The pub has a main bar with intimate small dining rooms, there is a ‘boot room’ for a ‘muddy boot’ pint of ale. There is a sunny garden to the rear of the pub, snaking down to the old bowling green which has wonderful views across farmer’s fields and finally there is a pretty summer dining terrace.
